Do You Know How to Clean Aluminium Kozijnen?

What are known as aluminium frames in England are referred to as aluminium kozijnen in the Netherlands. These are used in a variety of construction projects. They have become this popular for construction partly because of their resistance to corrosion and stress, but they nonetheless demand some attention too every now and then.

Aluminium itself is considered quite strong. It outdoes many other construction materials like timber too, at least in terms of likely longevity. It does not degrade easily.

This does not translate to it never needing maintenance, naturally. Just about anyone can clean it properly, though, with the right tools. And everything you need might be in your cleaning supplies already.

The plainest solution is one made of normal household detergent. Blend 1/4 of a cup into a pail of plain tapwater. Blend the two with your choice of stirring implement: you can even use your hand.

It is possible to use a sprayer to get the cleaning liquid onto the kozijnen. You can also just rub it on with a rag. Just as long as you do not pick a highly abrasive textile, you should be fine with whatever cloth you pick.

After you have finished lathering them, you should start rinsing. Just put water in the bucket. Rinse off the frames with the plain water.

After the detergent fluid has been washed off entirely, you can move on to drying your frames. You can use another rag for this as long as you do it with suitably firm (but not forceful) swipes. It may help to move the cloth in waving motions or small figure eights instead of just doing it in a linear motion.

Sometimes, of course, you are going to need more than plain detergent to get out really bad spots from your frames. For instance, some people want to get rid of stains on their aluminium, and find that they cannot use plain detergent or household cleaning solutions to get rid of the pesky things. These can be easily made with things you find at home.

For example, household ammonia can actually be a fairly good solvent to add to water for cleaning purposes. Mix half a cup in about a gallon of H20. And if that still does not work, you can actually rub out most stains with some WD40.

These sorts of kozijnen are durable, sure, but you should not fail to give them an occasional scrub-down once they start looking bad. They make up a significant part of an edifice, and as such should be protected. The better their condition, the better you feel about your house.
